Hermann Goring Division Cap Eagle Error?

Original and used Hermann Goring Division Panzer or aircraft mechanic's cap cloth eagle.  An oddity in that there is no embroidery to the front.  Reverse is backed with cloth and has the reverse stitching of the eagle which shows some damage.  Maybe the threads were pulled?
